Wait a second.. Has anyone looked at the tent encampment in King Park? I was passing through last week, and it’s twice the size it was last year.

Why exactly is the city applauding itself for a temporary solution to a deeply imbedded problem? Affordable Housing is the problem, not the tent city. The homeless population, bigger than ever, are just less visible now and the mayor and the city are grateful. I’ve witnessed some improvements under 3 mayors, some. But let’s take a hard look at what it costs for the most vulnerable among us to pay for one tiny room with a shared bath. Just do the math.
