It’s safe to say that 2020 saw more than its fair share of impactful, local news. The pandemic came to Wisconsin. Protesters marched for more than 200 days following the killing of George Floyd. Bars and restaurants struggled to stay afloat. Theater went virtual. The police chief was fired, retired, and sorta rehired. There was a presidential recount and a mountain of election lawsuits.
It was a year like no other.
And throughout these trying times, we at Urban Milwaukee have remained constant. We are independently owned, independently operated, and offer independent reporting and commentary. All made possible by the support of our members. We simply can’t do it without you.
