Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?

I work at Palermo’s Pizza as a Marketing Coordinator. I love my job because, well pizza! Ha ha, need I say more? Actually, the best part of my job is working with our sports partners, the Bucks, Brewers and Admirals. I enjoy being an active part of the community and having a direct link to all of the exciting development in our city. Milwaukee is booming and it is exciting to be a part of it.

How long have you lived in Milwaukee and what brought you here?

I’ve lived in Milwaukee for 10 years now. I came here for graduate school at UWM and my husband’s family is here. I fell in love with the city and decided to make it home.

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

My favorite tradition is hot ham and rolls on Sunday. I’m from Wisconsin but had never experienced this before moving to Milwaukee. It’s a great excuse to spend time with family and it’s SO good. My favorite spots to grab ham and rolls are Grebe’s or Canfora Bakery.

What local restaurant is at the top of your list?

While not a restaurant exactly, one of my favorite spots in Milwaukee is Purple Door. I’m an ice cream aficionado. Otherwise you can find me exploring hole-in-wall diners for breakfast fare. I love a good omelet and an expansive menu.

What does your ideal Milwaukee weekend look like?

An ideal weekend starts with a Friday night fish fry, followed by some time by the lake, and maybe a traveling beer garden with friends and family. I’m all about getting outside and enjoying the outdoor activities here and all of the parks.

What do you love most about Milwaukee?

I love the history and culture here. Milwaukee is such a diverse city with a rich history. The true locals hang on to cultural traditions, which make the city such a fun place to explore. I would also be remiss not to mention the museums here … the best of the best. I could spend hours in the Streets of Old Milwaukee at the Milwaukee Public Museum.
