I didn’t know that La Masa is Argentine-inspired! Must try it, since it’s relatively near my home, and thanks for the tip about $2 empanadas during Happy Hour!

Joey, I did try out La Masa last night for the Happy Hour, ordering one each of the $2 empamadas (and loving them all fro different reasons – the bean chorizo is spicy, the spinach/cheese is healthy, the Argentinian beef is just wonderful!) and a Mula drink (Stoli- based, served in an iced copper cup) at $6 instead of $8. I loved the salad, which, when asked, the waiter told me contained (crunchy) jimaca root, which made it different, and I sat way in the back with a view of Brady Street and the lovely Argentinian tile chosen especially for this place. It’s truly a bargain, and I encourage people to go (as long as they still have it, and you can eat outdoors too). I told them that I came because i read your review, and thanks so much for it – I’ll be back to this unique place with its tasty and unusual food!
