Pabst Announces 2015 Fish Fry & Flick Lineup
Free lakefront movie series is back for a 7th year with a great lineup.
Grab your chairs or blankets. The Pabst Theater Group is set to host their 7th annual Point Fish Fry and a Flick outdoor movie series on the lakefront. The free films begin at dusk at Discovery World (5oo N. Harbor Dr.), but the fun starts long before that.
A free Stevens Point Brewery beer tasting will take place before every film. Food will also be available for purchase, with a fish fry catered by Bartlotta’s as the main course. In addition to the fish fry, shrimp, poutine, hot dogs, brats and french fries will be available.
The annual series, which is effectively a drive-in movie for the urban dweller, will feature an upgraded projection system this year. The films will be projected onto the side of Discovery World at a higher resolution, which will yield a larger viewing surface and overall better experience. The lineup of movies looks fun, culminating with the new Mad Max movie, which according to rottentomatoes.com, got a thumbs up from 98 percent of critics and 90 percent of audiences who’ve even it.
Lineup
- Beetlejuice (July 10th)
- Wayne’s World (July 17th)
- Guardians of the Galaxy (August 14th)
- Mad Max: Fury Road (August 28th)

No mention of the new panorama should viewers rotate 180 degrees? Sunset over the remade skyline is quite the pre-show screening!
Yes, it is a great lineup of films. Suggestion: UM does live coverage of the event, sending all field reporters to rate the cuisine and experience.
