    Most new and reconstructed building should be able to achieve LEED Silver. They should have been seeking LEED Gold or higher. A code building is considered a D- type building if you had to give it a grade – barely passing as a building for the future.

    UWM had no shortage of hideous looking postmodern buildings.What difference does another one make? I know, I know, “Everyone on the East Side must be an architect.” -Tom Barrett

    UW-M looks to be making great progress. They acquired the old hospital which was genius, built the freshwater school which was a dud, and they now have this beautiful building.

    This building will add to their profile as a research university.

    Combined with increasing standards for admittance (88%), they will continue to move up the rankings.
