Woodwards W-43 Building
The residential tower (with an extensive retail base) replaced a 100-year-old department store building (the store had closed). Due to its location, it's visible from a number of angles. It doesn't have the typical Vancouver glass look, despite being completed in 2009. This makes it blend in with the neighborhood really well (it's on the edge of Gastown) as many of the surrounding buildings are much older. Photo taken August 7th, 2014 by Jeramey Jannene.
