County Further Expands Real-Time Bus Routes
MCTS unveils real-time info for more bus lines, including the only bus route in Ozaukee County.
The Milwaukee County Transit System has released real-time data for an additional nine routes. The update comes just weeks after the last announcement that doubled the number of routes available. The latest release adds routes 12, 19, 27, 62, 63, 76, 143 as well as the Red and Blue lines.
Suburban commuters waiting to head home will be a big beneficiary of the new additions. Ozaukee County’s one and only bus route, the 143 Ozaukee County Express, now has real time data. The last release also added the 79 Menomonee Falls Flyer.
Real-time data allows riders to know the arrival time of buses via a website, text message, or phone system. The system gives riders up-to-the-minute information on when a bus will arrive at a given stop.
