Denim Park Series Returns
Free weekly Wednesday concerts in new park on Water Street has booked a variety of bands.
It’s back for its second season, the music series at Denim Park. The park, at 1551 N. Water St, is part of The North End apartment homes, owned by local real estate developer Mandel Group, Inc., which created the 5,500 square foot park to provide recreational space for North End. Owner Barry Mandel then had the idea to create a summer music series here.
Season II of the the Denim Park Music Series begins tonight, July 9th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm and will take place every Wednesday until August 27th. It’s free, open to the public and meant to bring the community together with local music in an urban setting. Attesting to the success of the inaugural year, several bands including Vitrolum Republic and I’m Not a Pilot are returning to Denim Park to perform. Guests are invited to bring their friends and leashed dogs, and come hungry. Food trucks will be parked in the vicinity and music-goers are welcome to chow down while the bands rock out.
Denim Park Music Series 2014’s lineup includes:
July 9 INTL and Ivy Spokes
July 16 Kane Place Record Club
July 23 Myles Coyne and The Rusty Nickel Band
July 30 The Championship
Aug 6 I’m Not A Pilot
Aug 13 Vitrolum Republic
I was not aware of this park and, among others, the band I’m Not A Pilot is one of my favorites! Thank you for this article!
