I’ve been going here for years. There are some things that you just can’t put in an article–that’s the Y Not II. From Remy, to the subpar pool cues, the wide array of bartender personalities, to the guy’s bathroom with 2/3rds of a toilet seat. It’s something you need to experience for yourself. Stop there, order a liter of their cheapest beer(probably Sprecher amber or a Grand Cru), pick a couple of songs on the jukebox, and enjoy it. It’s a Milwaukee landmark!

I’ve had many interesting experiences at the Y Not II (it’s in my neighborhood, unique individuals frequent it, the prices are reasonable and it’s been the home to many a poetry reading over the years), but I never realized that it was open for many more hours than most bars!
