"I live near Brady Street and the people watching is just spectacular."
What is your job and its responsibilities?
I’m a Development Associate of Special Events at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin (ARCW). I produce fundraising events, work with donors and participants, manage volunteers, move mountains, that sort of thing. Right now I’m working on the upcoming AIDS Walk Wisconsin, on Saturday, October 5.
How would you rate Milwaukee as a place to socialize and play?
I think Milwaukee is such a friendly, laid-back city it’s the perfect place to play. Especially in the summer, there is always something going on and there are so many hidden gems in the city to visit. The people here just genuinely want to have a good time and know how to do it.
I live near Brady Street. I love being so close to so many local businesses, parks, night life and the people watching is just spectacular. It’s such an eclectic neighborhood, I’m never bored.
Who is your favorite Milwaukee personality?
Dare I say Bronze Fonz?
What have you seen in other cities that you’d like to see in Milwaukee?
I studied abroad in northern France and aside from the food the public transportation was the best part. It was so easy, the infrastructure was amazing and far-reaching. Within the city of Milwaukee, or even county limits, you’re alright. But if you’re trying to get the surrounding communities it’s pretty challenging. I would really love to not have a car. Or not have to find street parking.
