Connor LaMue of The Midwestern Charm performs “Bloodbath” and “Can’t Stand It.”

While live music in Milwaukee is plentiful on the weekends, you can’t be everywhere at once, and great shows sometimes get missed. With this in mind, we here at TCD have decided to bring the music to you with our brand new video series “Take One at ThirdCoast.” We’ve invited artists into our cozy office at The Shops of Grand Avenue, set up a few mics and let the cameras roll. We’ve got quite a few performances lined up to debut in the next few weeks which we think you’ll really enjoy.

It is with great pleasure that we debut our first episode, featuring Connor LaMue of The Midwestern Charm. Remember the awesome hooky alternative rock that ruled the airwaves in the early- to mid-90s?  The Midwestern Charm most certainly do, and their debut full length from earlier this year recalls those sounds perfectly, albeit with a very slight twang. The band is currently at work on their follow up album, and LaMue was kind enough to come in and play a few tracks from it.

Video by Breanne Brennan and Val Danculovich. Audio by Ryan Brewer. Directed by Sahan Jayasuriya. Filmed in the ThirdCoast Digest office in the Shops of Grand Avenue in Milwaukee.
