Simply put-Paul Cebar is a legend of the Milwaukee music scene. Since the mid 70s, Paul has been making people move their feet with his unique blend of tropical music styles. Additionally, he has been introducing Milwaukeeans to eclectic and obscure world music on his radio show for 91.7 WMSE, much of it pulled from his extensive personal collection. In this installment of Cream City Soundcheck, Cebar and his drummer, Reggie Bordeaux, catch lunch at The Plaza while chatting about their musical inspirations.

On September 13 (mark your calendars now) TCD, docUWM, Peck School of the Arts and the Pabst Group will host a Cream City Soundcheck launch party at Turner Hall Ballroom. The event will feature live performances from RAS Movement (feat. Naima Adedapo), The Fatty Acids, and Kane Place Record Club. The evening also features screenings of videos with MaritimeYACHT, Paul CebarI’m Not A PilotMortgage FreemanHoly Shit!, and Kings Go Forth.
