First Stage Children’s Theater Managing Director Rob Goodman is a member of the brand-new Creative Coalition of Greater Milwaukee, a project of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and the Cultural Alliance of Greater Milwaukee.

The Creative Coalition’s mission is to integrate Milwaukee’s individual creatives, for-profit creative businesses, and nonprofit arts and culture groups into a cohesive, sustainable creative economy that furthers the distinctiveness and growth of our region.

Rob and Mark talk about the goals of the Creative Coaltion, how it will work, why it will work, and whether or not it will ultimately make Milwaukee a more attractive place to live.

“It’s really a gathering,” Goodman says, “and by gathering people together, it will empower them — through unity.”
