Tickets for WMSE’s 14th annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser go on sale today, Nov. 30 at 4 p.m. Visit http://www.wmse.org/calendar/14th-annual-rockabilly-chili/ to purchase your tickets, or stop by the WMSE studios at 820 N. Milwaukee St. during regular business hours.

Taking place on March 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MSOE Kern Center, the WMSE Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser has become one of the most popular events of the year. WMSE is once again offering a holiday discount package–buy four tickets and get the fifth one free. “The holiday discount was such a success last year, we decided to continue the deal. Who wouldn’t want to receive the gift of tickets to the WMSE Rockabilly Chili?” said Tom Crawford, station manager.

WMSE’s Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser is a chili competition that pits over 50 Milwaukee restaurants, cafes and caterers against one another to determine the city’s best chili. Attendees do the voting at the event. Awards are given to winners in five different categories: best meat, best vegetarian, most unique chili, best heat, and best vendor display/presentation. Rockabilly Chili’s presenting sponsor Milwaukee Brewing Co. will serve their craft brews to complement the variety of chili being offered.

Advance tickets are $12 and include four chili samples. With the special WMSE holiday promotion, the purchase of four tickets gets you five — plus the standard four chili samples per ticket. Additional chili sampling tickets can be purchased at the event for $1 each. Attendees, who bring two or more non-perishable food items for the Hunger Task Force, will receive two additional sample tickets.
