WMSE Puts the HO HO HO in Holiday

For the past 34 years, WMSE has hosted the most unique holiday music programming in Milwaukee. The tradition continues this year as the station provides the soundtrack for all of your holiday gatherings and puts the “ho ho ho” in holiday. Here are some of the highlights you have to look forward to this year:

Friday, Dec. 18, 9 a.m. to Noon
A Very Special Holiday Chicken Shack show kicks everything off.  The Good John has put together a killer show that includes truckers, cowboys, rock-n-rollers and prison songs.

Wednesday, Dec. 23, 9 a.m. to Noon
Another long-time staple of WMSE programming and one of Milwaukee’s musical heroes is Paul Cebar. His Way Back Home show will feature world music and roots-oriented holiday music. Station Manager Tom Crawford says, “Always a fun show, Paul has the skill to pull music from all around the world and create an incredibly special show.”

Thursday, Dec. 24, Noon to 9 p.m.
Paul Host spins his legendary nine-hour holiday marathon show on Christmas Eve featuring obscure holiday songs like Pee Wee King “Rootin’ Tootin’ Santa Claus,” Rev Horton Heats “Run Run Rudolph,” and everyone’s childhood favorite Edgar Switchblade “Krampus Unmerciful.”

Other programs getting in the holiday spirit include:
