WisGOP Response to Wisconsin Supreme Court Upholding Governor Evers’ 2024-2025 Budget Veto
MADISON, Wis. — In response to the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s ruling affirming the constitutionality of Governor Tony Evers’ line-item veto in the 2024-2025 state budget, please consider the following statement from WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming.
“Today’s ruling exposes the stark partisanship of the current Wisconsin Supreme Court. By upholding Governor Evers’ expansive use of the line-item veto, the Court has granted him unchecked authority to override the will of Wisconsin voters. The people of Wisconsin will not overlook this far-left judicial activism and blatant power grab,” said Chairman Brian Schimming.NOTE: This press release was submitted to Urban Milwaukee and was not written by an Urban Milwaukee writer.
