WisDems Statement on Ron Johnson Voting Against Legislation That Would Codify Roe v. Wade
MADISON, Wis. – In response to Ron Johnson voting against legislation that would codify Roe v. Wade and protect a person’s ability to make their own health care decisions, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:
“When it comes to our most personal health care decisions, most of us want to decide for ourselves, with our doctors and our families. Ron Johnson disagrees. Ron Johnson just voted to allow the government to get between doctors and their patients and made it more likely that an archaic state law that would criminalize nearly all abortions in Wisconsin goes into effect. In November, Wisconsinites are going to remember that Ron Johnson blocked our access to health care and retire him.”NOTE: This press release was submitted to Urban Milwaukee and was not written by an Urban Milwaukee writer.
