Wisconsin Carpenters Endorse David Crowley for Governor
Continues momentum following endorsements from Gov. Evers, IBEW, Laborers, Fire Fighters, Operating Engineers, Plumbers, and mayors
MILWAUKEE – The Northern Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters today endorsed Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley for Governor of Wisconsin. The union represents thousands of carpenters, millwrights, and other skilled tradespeople across Wisconsin.
“Wisconsin’s carpenters are proud to endorse David Crowley because he understands that strong unions and a highly skilled workforce are essential to building a stronger state,” said Tom Lutz, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Northern Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters. “David has consistently stood with working families, and we know he will fight to protect union jobs, stand up for workers’ rights, and ensure public projects are good for workers, taxpayers, and communities across our state.”
The Carpenters endorsement adds to the growing momentum behind Crowley’s campaign following endorsements from Gov. Tony Evers, the IBEW Wisconsin State Conference, the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council, the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, Operating Engineers Local 139, Plumbers Union Local 75, and mayors from across the state.
“Wisconsin carpenters build the homes, schools, hospitals, roads, and communities that keep our state moving forward,” said Crowley. “I’m honored to have their support, and as governor, I’ll fight to restore prevailing wage, bring back project labor agreements, expand apprenticeships, and make sure skilled workers can build a good life in the state they help build every day.”
Crowley grew up in a union household and has made strengthening Wisconsin’s workforce and rebuilding worker power central to his campaign. His father was a master electrician, giving Crowley a firsthand understanding of how union wages, benefits, and workplace protections can provide stability and opportunity for working families.
