Walker’s Point Center for the Arts Full Moon Gala

Milwaukee, WI – Walker’s Point Center for the Arts celebrates 32 years of service at our Full Moon Gala aboard the Edelweiss’ vessel Harbor Lady. The event willtake place August 15th, 2019 6pm-8pm aboard the ship and under a full moon, with hors-d’oeuvres, an auction and live musical performance by SistaStrings. The celebration will continue at the Deer District’s Beer Garden from 8pm-10pm featuring local vendors.

For more than 30 years, Walker’s Point Center for the Arts has been a cultural staple of the Walker’s Point neighborhood and a powerful advocate for underrepresented artists in Milwaukee and beyond. As one of the city’s oldest and most beloved community art spaces, WPCA is renowned for providing high-caliber, accessible arts experiences for all — from bold exhibitions to youth arts programs. Like the neighborhood around it, WPCA is now entering a new phase of growth, one in which we believe the arts play an essential role in shaping responsible redevelopment and a shared, equitable vision for the future.

Funds raised through this event will support WPCA’s operations to provide gallery and youth art programs for Milwaukee’s community.Event tickets are $75 and can be purchased online at http://wpca-milwaukee.org/full-moon-gala/
