Van Orden Admits High Gas Prices Are a Result of War He Supports
MADISON, Wis. — At the WisGOP convention over the weekend, Derrick Van Orden admitted that Trump’s war with Iran — a war Van Orden has loudly cheered on — is driving up higher gas prices and hurting Wisconsinites’ wallets. Van Orden admitted that things are tighter than they should be as a consequence of Trump administration policies, yet he continues to vote in favor of the war, adding to the cost crisis working class Wisconsinites face as a result.
“Despite campaigning on lowering gas prices, D.C Derrick is openly admitting that the policies he supports and parades online are raising fuel costs for Wisconsinites,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Rachel La Due. “He went so far as to commend Donald Trump for continuing his reckless and cost-raising agenda abroad. Van Orden simply can’t help himself from admitting loudly and clearly that he cares more about stroking Trump’s ego than helping bring down costs for his constituents.”
