United Latino Fundraiser offers relief for disaster victims
The fundraiser will be at the Latino Family Expo and Festival, which includes family fun activities throughout the day.
Alderman José Pérez encourages residents to support the United Latino Fundraiser for Mexico and Puerto Rico Disaster Relief Drive. The event will take place on October 21 and October 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4807 S. 2nd St. The fundraiser will be at the Latino Family Expo and Festival, which includes family fun activities throughout the day.
During the festival a donation drive will collect clothes, shoes, first aid kits, blankets, dry and canned goods, hygiene products, and more.
Alderman Pérez says, “The devastation caused by natural disasters in Puerto Rico and Mexico is immense. It is important for the City of Milwaukee to come together and support these countries that have suffered from these tragedies. Anything from a can of food to a shirt can make a difference.”
