The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) will conduct a high impact paving project on the west side of South 27th Street from West Lincoln Avenue to the railroad row south of West Cleveland Avenue. This two-day project will take place May 24 and 25, 2018, weather permitting.

The roadway will be closed to southbound traffic during this project. West Lincoln Avenue will remain open to east- and westbound traffic, and other intersections will be open to cross traffic, except when crews are working at these locations.

The Milwaukee County Transit System will re-route bus routes 27, PUR and RR2 to South 20th Street. Temporary bus stops for these routes are located at W. Hayes, W. Arthur and W. Harrison on S. 20th St.

Passengers are encouraged to board at S. 27th St. and W. Grant, and at the temporary stop on the northeast corner of S. 27th and W. Cleveland.

DPW appreciates your patience during this project, and advises the traveling public to allow for extra time while traveling to and from this neighborhood.
