MILWAUKEE (September 3, 2020) – Bayshore is excited to mark a milestone in its redevelopment project as Total Wine & More officially opens its doors today, September 3rd. Located on the northwest side of the property, Total Wine & More at Bayshore offers guests a 25,000 square foot retail experience – bringing the country’s largest independent retailer of fine wines to the North Shore and surrounding communities. For easy accessibility, a new parking lot is available adjacent to the storefront.

“Cypress is thrilled to welcome Total Wine & More to the Bayshore community,” said Kirk Williams, managing director for Cypress Equities. “We are committed to offering our guests an exciting mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment and Total Wine is a wonderful addition to the Bayshore experience.”

Immersive Art Experiences

Along with the opening of Total Wine & More, The Bayshore Art Project continues with further beautification of the property to enhance the guest experience. A collaboration of local muralists, fine artists, sculptors, fabricators, illustrators and animators, phase two of The Bayshore Art Project is nearing completion, with installations from the following artists:

A collaboration between artists Emma Daisy and Dave Watkins, the murals on both sides of the garage can be seen from afar and serve as a welcome to visitors. The designs for each facade involve a bright, colorful garden of flora to enliven the space, create a sense of wonder, beauty and hope that is representative of both Bayshore’s rich and vibrant history as well as its bright future.

Bigshot Robot’s creations are an exploration of curiosity, vibrancy, humor and movement. Designer David Mark Zimmerman is known for his paintings of imaginative characters and energetic patterns at scales from pixel to mural. His mural at Bayshore tells the story of a pioneer finding their way through the mountains and the joy in finding one’s way in the journey of life. The piece breaks into two parts around the building, treating the viewer a nice simple mountain scape from one angle, and then, as they traverse around the building, the story unfolds to capture their imagination.

The Bayshore Art Project will continue and guests will see many more local art installations come to life, including augmented reality and community activation murals.

Redevelopment Progress

Demolition of the former food court and interior mall has been completed and progress on the road extension from Town Center Way to the Lydell Parking Garage is underway. The new route is projected to be accessible starting in November.

Additionally, improvements to the exterior main entrance of the Rotunda are nearing completion, with upgraded walkways, landscaping and lighting. New escalators have been installed in the interior for guest convenience, and work is underway for new communal areas with improved seating and gathering. The Rotunda is projected to open to the public later this Fall.

Bayshore’s redevelopment is projected to be complete by the end of 2020. Follow Bayshore on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all the latest news and updates.
