The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 159 Endorses Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg for Wisconsin Supreme Court

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 159 has endorsed Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg for Wisconsin Supreme Court.

“Judge Kloppenburg’s background and experience are impressive and broad,” said Robert Doyle, IBEW Local 159 Business Manager. “From her current work as Presiding Judge on the Court of Appeals District 4, to her 23 years at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, to her teaching and mentoring at the UW Law School, she has a deep understanding of our State and its legal system. She will be an excellent Justice who stands up for all the people of Wisconsin and we are proud to support her in this important campaign.”

IBEW Local 159 represents more than 800 working members in south central Wisconsin, covering Columbia, Dane, Iowa and Sauk counties; and portions of Dodge, Marquette and Green Lake counties.

Judge Kloppenburg has also earned the endorsement of the Wisconsin State Association of Letter Carriers and Pioneer Branch 2 of the Wisconsin State Association of Letter Carriers, as well as the public support of more than 1500 judges, attorneys, law enforcement professionals, community leaders, and working men and women from all 72 counties in Wisconsin.

The primary election in the non-partisan race is Tuesday, February 16.
