The City of Glendale Reveals the 2023 Music in the Glen Line Up

Free outdoor summer concerts on Wednesdays starting June 21, 2023

GLENDALE, Wisconsin (June 14, 2023) – Music lovers are invited to sit back, relax, and enjoy live music in Glendale this summer at the City of Glendale’s 30th annual Music in the Glen- free outdoor summer concert series. Concerts will be held on select Wednesdays, starting June 21 until August 2 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Richard E. Maslowski Community Park (2200 W. Bender Rd, Glendale). In the event a performance is cancelled due to inclement weather, the rain date will be Wednesday, August 9. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Snacks, ice cream, concessions and Sprecher soda and beer are available for purchase at the onsite Sprecher Oasis. The Richard E. Maslowski Community Park also features a possibilities playground for children, indoor restrooms, the Johnson Controls Outdoor Amphitheater, and the Orthopedic Hospital of Wisconsin War Memorial. 6:15 p.m.- Flag Ceremony and Salute to Veterans will take place at the onsite Orthopedic Hospital of Wisconsin War Memorial. All branches of the military will be honored.

June 28 – Randy Peterson (Children’s Concert)
July 12 – Latin Sound System (Latin/Americana)
July 19 – MixTape MKE (‘80s & ‘90s)
July 26 – Shorewood School of Rock (Rock)
August 2 – The Stephen Hull Experience (Blues/Jazz/R&B)
August 9 – Rain Date

*Salute to Veterans Concert

The Music in the Glen concert series will kick off on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, with the annual “Stars & Stripes Salute to Veterans”. Attendees are asked to arrive at 6:00 p.m. for the flag ceremony and salute to veterans that will take place at 6:15 p.m. at the onsite Orthopedic Hospital of Wisconsin War Memorial. This year’s annual flag ceremony is provided by the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Color Guard and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The concert will start at 6:30 p.m. by Geoff Landon’s High Country. Veterans from all branches of the military are invited. The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Veteran Peer Outreach Program will be in attendance. Veterans will learn about programs, various resources, and services offered for them through the Captain John D. Mason Veteran Peer Outreach Program. Also, Vietnam Veterans will receive a special pin and Presidential commemoration for the 50th anniversary from DAR.
