The 5 Card Studs, “The Hardest Working Band in the Midwest,” Return to River Rhythms

The 5 Card Studs return to River Rhythms for a night of fun as they celebrate their 23rd year as "the hardest working band in the Midwest!"

By - Aug 7th, 2018 02:01 pm

MILWAUKEE River Rhythms, downtown Milwaukee’s destination for music on Wednesday evenings, welcomes the 5 Card Studs to the stage on Wednesday, August 8th. The free concert series takes place from 6:30 – 9 p.m. every Wednesday through August 29th in Pere Marquette Park on Old World Third Street between State and Kilbourn.

The 5 Card Studs return to River Rhythms for a night of fun as they celebrate their 23rd year as “the hardest working band in the Midwest!” This Milwaukee favorite takes songs from the late 60s and 70s and breathes new life into them, inspiring a sense of nostalgia in their audiences.

This week the Milwaukee County Historical Society will also be hosting their Annual Ice Cream Social on their patio from 6 – 8 p.m. Guests can stop by and cool off with some free ice cream as they enjoy the show.

Miller products, Malibu & Absolut cocktails, wine and soda will be available at the Westown beverage tent with all proceeds going to benefit the free event. Patrons can also enjoy food options from local food trucks and restaurants.

New this year: concert attendees will now have more parking options available to them.   Parking will be provided by Interstate Parking at 751 North Plankinton Avenue and 601 West State Street for $3.00 with code 0004.

Next week, River Rhythms welcomes the Screaming Orphans to the stage! Find the rest of the 2018 River Rhythms line-up at: https://www.westown.org/neighborhood-events/river-rhythms-2/
