MILWAUKEE — County Supervisors Kathleen Vincent and Patti Logsdon are hosting a town hall meeting to engage with constituents and gather their valuable feedback on the proposed 0.4% increase of the county sales tax. The meeting will be held tomorrow, July 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenfield Public Library (5310 W. Layton Ave. Greenfield, WI 53220).

Recognizing the impact such a measure may have on residents, local businesses, and visitors alike, Supervisors Vincent and Logsdon are committed to fostering transparency, collaboration, and informed decision-making:

“As an elected official, my first priority is always to ensure that the voices of our community members are heard and considered when making decisions that affect their lives,” said Supervisor Vincent. “My hope is that this town hall meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to have their questions answered, express their concerns, and contribute to the ongoing conversation regarding this important matter. I look forward to hearing from my constituents and learning from their perspectives.”

All residents are encouraged to attend and actively participate in this community-driven discussion, regardless of their stance on the issue.

Supervisors Vincent and Logsdon will be joined by other Milwaukee County officials who will provide insights and clarifications on the potential implications of the sales tax increase.

The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on the proposed sales tax increase at their next meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 27, at 9:30 AM.
