Summerfest to Extend Fan Appreciation Day Hours Saturday

MILWAUKEE, WI (September 16, 2021) – The final weekend of Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance will wrap up with a blockbuster lineup at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and throughout the festival grounds. Headliners in the Amphitheater include fest first-timers Megan Thee Stallion and Miley Cyrus with opener Wiz Khalifa, and Guns N’ Roses closing out the festival. Other can’t miss artists – Ludacris, Bleachers, Run The Jewels, Jake Owen, Flaming Lips, Turkuaz featuring Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew, and many more.

To thank fans for their support during the festival’s unique September run, Summerfest has extended the hours for FREE admission during Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 18 to Noon-7:00 p.m.  In addition, the first 30,000 fans to enter through any gate during Fan Appreciation Day, will receive a ticket valid for admission to Summerfest 2022.

“As we were forced into September dates, we knew it would be a novel experience to host the festival in late summer. That said, it was the only viable option to accommodate artists and fans within this fluid environment,” said Don Smiley, President and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. “Our team pulled it off and provided an economic boost to the local economy and gave patrons live outdoor music on the lakefront. We want to thank all our attendees, vendors, and sponsors for their support – we can’t wait to see them again next year.”

Summerfest 2022 will take place June 23-25, June 30-July 2, and July 7-9, over three weekends, Thursday through Saturday, from Noon-Midnight. More details on the lineup will be forthcoming in the months ahead.
