Madison…Assembly Republican leaders released the following statement regarding Governor Walker’s letter asking for support for the budget motion to assist the city of Arcadia.

“We would like to thank Governor Walker for visiting the communities around the state that have sustained damage from the massive flooding. We agree with him that steps should be taken to prevent future flooding where possible.

“We support the budget motion that would allow for infrastructure improvements to the city of Arcadia for flood prevention efforts along the Turton Creek and Trempealeau River. This motion is an essential investment to protect the community from flooding and could spur economic growth.”
