Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) would like to announce that Rep. John Nygren (R-Marinette) will continue to be the Assembly Chair of the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC), the budget-writing committee responsible for approving state expenditures, for the next legislative session beginning in January.

“I have every confidence in John’s ability to lead this important committee,” said Speaker Vos. “He has done an outstanding job ushering through three balanced state budgets, two as JFC co-chair. His record of success and steadfast commitment to taxpayers make him the obvious choice for this position.”

Rep. Nygren was first elected to the Assembly in 2006. He will be serving his third term as the JFC co-chair.
