Short-term impacts begin for Lakefront Gateway project

Limited work underway will have lane restrictions and sidewalk closures

The State’s contractor has resumed work on landscape and punch list items for the Lakefront Gateway project. The restrictions are limited in scope, with only minor traffic delays expected.

Impacts include:
  • Eastbound I-794 exit ramp to Lakefront/Lincoln Memorial Drive
    • Ramp remains open with the following lane closures
      • Right lane – 4/3 through 4/7
      • Left lane – 4/10 through 4/14
  • Van Buren from St Paul to Clybourn – 4/3 thru 4/7
    • Right shoulder closure
    • Sidewalk closure; A pedestrian detour to Jackson is in place.
  • Eastbound Clybourn – 4/3 through 4/21
    • Left lane closure between Van Buren and Lincoln Memorial Drive.
    • Left turns into and out of US Bank parking remain open.
