MADISON – Senator Jon Erpenbach (D-West Point) released the following statement in response to Governor Tony Evers’ State of the State Address:

“This has been a tumultuous year for Wisconsin families, schools, communities, and small businesses. While we have been resilient we cannot forget the individuals who have lost their lives, and the thousands of workers on the frontline that have worked so bravely throughout this crisis.

“I want to commend Governor Evers for listening to science and health experts to guide our state through this pandemic, despite the constant Republican attempts to undermine those efforts.

“This pandemic has exposed the critical importance for the legislature to work together with Gov. Evers to pass meaningful and comprehensive solutions. This year we must do everything in our power to ensure a robust economic recovery, healthier communities, and success for Wisconsin students.”
