Sen. Johnson on Sunday Morning Futures: “Now’s the Time” to Return to Pre-Pandemic Spending Levels
WASHINGTON – On Sunday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures to call for a return to pre-pandemic levels of spending through a budget review process.
“I don’t think Trump voters expected Republicans to continue spending at Biden’s spending levels. If we want to defeat the deep state, stop funding it!” said Sen. Johnson.“For any Republican who claimed that we don’t have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem, now’s the time to insist on returning to a reasonable pre-pandemic level of spending and a process to achieve it!” he continued.
