Roys Leads in Cash on Hand by Almost 2-1 Margin
"Our team is not wasting money on fancy office space or an army of high-priced consultants," said Sonja Chojnacki, Roys’ campaign manager.
MADISON, WI — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Kelda Roys has the highest cash on hand and the lowest burn rate of all the Democratic gubernatorial candidates with just four weeks left until the election.
“We are running the most disciplined campaign of the cycle, and energizing voters and grassroots donors across the state,” said Sonja Chojnacki, Roys’ campaign manager. “Our team is not wasting money on fancy office space or an army of high-priced consultants. We’ll be spending our money where it counts: getting our message out to voters. That’s why Kelda is going to win this primary.”
Below is an account of how much each candidate raised and spent as reported on their January and July Continuing reports:
|Candidate||Total Raised||Total Spent||Cash on Hand||Burn Rate|
Kelda Roys, 39, is a small business owner, attorney, former state representative, and past head of NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin who has been standing up for women and families throughout her career. In the Assembly, she stood out as an influential and effective lawmaker, delivering results for working families and helping lead the opposition to Governor Scott Walker’s divisive agenda. As a parent and step-parent of four girls, Roys will fight for paid family leave, affordable childcare, great schools, and quality healthcare for all. In a year in which Wisconsin voters are ready for change, Kelda Roys provides the clearest contrast to Scott Walker.
