By - Aug 21st, 2014 06:55 pm

“As Vice-Chair of the Legislative Council Study Committee on Problem-Solving Courts, Alternatives, and Diversions I am extremely pleased with the progress the Committee has made following our third meeting yesterday.”

“We are moving forward together on offering to the full legislature sound and thoughtful policy recommendations. All committee members have been engaged and offered ideas that will benefit the State of Wisconsin, our treatment court systems, and, most importantly, those whom they serve.”

“As members of the Committee heard on multiple occasions during testimony – problem-solving courts work. They make our communities safer and save taxpayers money.”

“I want to personally thank Representative Bies for his hard work and commitment while serving as Chairman of this Study Committee and leading on this issue during his legislative career. I look forward to working with Legislative Council, and my fellow committee members, in the coming weeks and months as we ask the tough questions, have a spirited debate, and put forth sound proposals.”
