Registration Open for 5K & 10K Famous Racing Sausage Run/Walk

Brewers Community Foundation Annual Event Returns in Person After Two Year Hiatus; 10K Option Added - Sponsored by Baker Tilly

MILWAUKEE – The Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) annual Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk returns in person in 2022, offering a 5K route, a new 10K route and a virtual option. Registration is now open for the event, which will begin at 8 a.m. at American Family Field on Saturday, July 30.

This year, participants have the option to take on a 3.1-mile or 6.2-mile course alongside the Famous Racing Sausages and have the unique opportunity to run onto the warning track at American Family Field. Participants may also elect to run the event virtually where they are welcome to run/walk their own course and upload results.

Interested parties can register online now as teams or individuals at brewers.com/5K. Registration is available through the day of the run, though fans are encouraged to register early to take advantage of the best price. Included in the registration fee is a commemorative Famous Racing Sausages t-shirt as well as a voucher valid for a Terrace Reserved ticket to a select 2022 Brewers regular-season home game. Complimentary food and beverage will be served at a tailgate party following the event.

Participants also have the option to pay an additional $10 for an Official Famous Racing Sausages Finisher Medal, with proceeds benefiting Brewers Community Foundation and Fisher House.

The Brewers Community Foundation Leadership Council are presenting sponsors of the 5K & 10K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk. The Leadership Council includes American Family Insurance, Aurora Health Care, Baker Tilly, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., Molson CoorsMilwaukee AdmiralsNorthwestern Mutual, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and We Energies Foundation.

At the time of registration, fans are asked to set up a fundraising page and/or make a one-time contribution to support Fisher House Wisconsin, which provides a home away from home for veterans’ and military families while their loved ones receive care at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. BCF has contributed nearly $300,000 to Fisher House Wisconsin since its inception.

BCF harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin. For more than a decade, BCF has generated more than $47 million to support local non-profits in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. Approximately 200 non-profit organizations receive funding annually through the Foundation’s initiatives.
