raSmith’s Jason Pietrusiewicz Achieves Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Certification as an Endangered Resources Reviewer
BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Jason Pietrusiewicz, ecologist with raSmith, a multi-disciplined civil and structural engineering and surveying firm, has achieved accreditation from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) as a Certified Endangered Resource Reviewer.
WDNR ER reviews assess the status of rare plants, animals, and habitats that are in danger of becoming extinct or that are in need of protection. The reviews involve the collection and review of data from surveys, research studies, and other sources to assess the current population status and trends of species or habitats, as well as potential threats to them. The reviews also involve an analysis of the ecological and economic values of the species or habitats, and an assessment of potential management strategies to protect them.
