Railroad work to require full closure of Brown Deer Road

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is notifying motorists of an upcoming full closure of Brown Deer Road (WIS 100) in the village of Brown Deer in Milwaukee County. The Wisconsin & Southern Railroad is reconstructing their railroad crossing located between Deerbrook Trail and Arbon Drive.

To complete this work, crews require a full closure of Brown Deer Road at the crossing from Monday, July 18 through Friday, July 29. This closure is weather dependent and subject to change. An official detour route will be posted along 76th Street (WIS 181), Mequon Road (WIS 167) and Green Bay Road (WIS 57).
