Prescribed Fire Operations Active Today, March 28 At Governor Nelson State Park

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is conducting prescribed burning at Governor Nelson State Park in Dane County starting at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Portions of the park will be closed and access may be limited or unavailable during burn operations. Areas and access to the park may remain unavailable or closed through Friday, March 29, 2024, while staff secure the burn area.
