Pepperpot celebrates grand opening at new location on King Drive
Statement of Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs April 21, 2022
Today Pepperpot, a popular Jamaican restaurant and catering business, celebrated the grand opening of their new space located at 2215 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., and I am thrilled to welcome them to the 6th District as we continue to build the best King Drive in the nation.
Local entrepreneur Dwight Jackson opened the original Pepperpot as a catering business in 2004, and proceeded to open an accompanying takeout business on Capitol Drive ten years later. Today, the 3,750-square-foot space on King Drive (in the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District) does include dine-in service, carryout and houses their catering operation. This business is a shining example of what entrepreneurs can achieve in Milwaukee, and I congratulate the Pepperpot team on all of their success thus far.Business hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Whether you are familiar with the fantastic food Pepperpot has to offer, or new to Jamaican cuisine, I would encourage you to stop by and check out all they have to offer.
