Cathy Myers, a 23-year high school English teacher and Janesville School Board member, has gained momentum in in recent days by raising the voices of those affected by Paul Ryan’s policies.
On Thursday, Cathy delivered over 1,600 petition signatures in support of a boy named Jack. Jack suffers from X-linked agammaglobulinemia, or XLA. The disease requires bi-weekly infusions of antibodies that will cost him $32,000 per month as an adult. Jack joined Cathy to deliver a message to Senator Johnson and Paul Ryan: “If I didn’t have my treatments, I’d die.”
