MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – gener8tor, in partnership with the Wisconsin Medical Society and WisMed Assure, will host the OnRamp Healthcare Conference virtually on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020. This virtual conference will attract more than 600 startups to its “Startup Track” – curated, one-on-one pitch sessions between selected startups and corporate venture capital & innovation executives, venture capitalists and accelerators – to discuss potential customer relationships, strategic partnerships and, if appropriate, investment opportunities.

The OnRamp Conference Series grew out of a desire to provide entrepreneurs at various stages of growth with access to high-level corporate leaders and investors. Established by gener8tor in 2013, OnRamp has evolved into seven vertical-specific events featuring conference programming and curated one-on-one pitch sessions between startups and corporate venture capital and innovation executives. OnRamp strives to be the premier gathering of corporate venture capital and innovation executives in each industry it serves.

The OnRamp Healthcare Conference brings together corporations, investors, startups and members of the health care team. The conference highlights innovations disrupting health care and the future of medicine, the health care leaders making such innovations possible, and how new technologies and business models will reinvent the industry. Determined to lower costs, increase access and improve outcomes, OnRamp Healthcare is for anyone striving to change healthcare for the better.

Originally scheduled to take place in-person at Miller Park in Milwaukee , the conference has pivoted in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure the health and safety of attendees, participating startups, corporate venture capital & innovation executives, VCs and accelerators will convene virtually on August 12 for a full day of pitches, speakers, thought leadership and dealmaking.

More than 60 corporations and top-tier venture capital firms are confirmed to take meetings with startups, including 3M Health Care, Advocate Aurora Health, Best Buy, Boston Scientific, Fairview Healthcare, GE Healthcare, Froedtert/Inception Health, Kaiser Permanente, United Healthcare Group and dozens of others.

“We’ve been serving the changing needs of physicians for more than 40 years and watched as technology has played an ever-increasing role in how the entire medical system functions,” said Shawna Bertalot, President of WisMed Assure “OnRamp is a chance for physicians to have an effective say in what the next big innovation will be and, most importantly, how it will help them deliver healthcare in best possible manner for their patients and themselves… and maybe, the next innovation won’t have to wait for a pandemic to become mainstream.”

The one-day, virtual conference will include a morning plenary session starting at 8:00 a.m. CT, featuring remarks by the conference hosts and a plenary panel discussion featuring WEA Trust, 7Wire Ventures, AFF Research, WWT and OneChart Health. The morning agenda will also include three additional keynote presentations from American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact, Wisconsin Center for Nursing and Michael Best Strategies. These events are free and open to a general audience with RSVP.

Unique to OnRamp, the conference will also include its signature Startup Track, featuring curated, one-on-one pitch sessions between startups and participating organizations. OnRamp will match selected startups with corporate venture capital & innovation executives, VCs and accelerators from participating healthcare organizations to discuss potential customer relationships, strategic partnerships and, if appropriate, investment opportunities.

“It is an enormous privilege to be working with The Wisconsin Medical Society to bring together clinicians, healthtech innovators and thought leaders from around the world,” said Olivia Heinze, lead organizer of the OnRamp Healthcare Conference. “In spite of the challenging circumstances created by COVID-19, we are thrilled to facilitate game-changing connections between startups, venture capitalists, clinicians, and key healthcare executives.”
