Northwoods Outdoor Oasis Coming to the Village of Shorewood

Shorewood, WI, April 4, 2024. Owners of Camp Bar are transforming the rear parking lot and accessory building of their Shorewood location to a multi-use and multi-seasonal outdoor destination. The existing parking lot will be reimagined and bring the outdoor elements of the Northwoods to the heart of Shorewood; while the accessory building will offer a four seasons bar, gaming space and restrooms. The Campground is expected to open by late spring.

The Campgrounds outdoor space will feature a variety of seating options and fire tables designed to give you the feeling that you are sitting fireside in the Northwoods. With numerous outdoor TV’s the space will be ideal for catching local sports on a warm sunny day. “We wanted to stay true to our Camp identity, so it was important that we incorporated elements you’d find in the Northwoods in the Campgrounds design. Whether your indoors or outdoors, we want to maintain that same level of comfort and design our Campers have come to know and love” said Camp Bar owner, Paul Hackbarth.

A bonus to the project, is the accessory building located off the outdoor patio that can be used year-round. “The feedback from residents has been phenomenal. The community is excited to have a family friendly patio” stated Hackbarth. Unlike traditional seasonal patios, the Campground is intending on operating year-round. “The flex space of the accessory building, which we are calling ‘The Cabin’ makes it a great place for guests to host smaller gatherings.”

Once open, guests will be able to order from the full Camp menu. The Camp team hopes to add a local food options and music series come late summer and Packer viewing parties this Fall.
