North Shore Bank Expands Commercial Banking Team With Addition of New VP and Business Relationship Specialist
BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank announced today that its commercial banking team will expand with the hire of new vice president, Derek E. Wheeler, and business relationship specialist, Max Schommer. Wheeler and Schommer will manage and advise existing, new and potential business partnerships to initiate commercial business loans and banking services.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Derek and Max to North Shore Bank,” says Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking Margaret Capper. “Their proven ability to foster professional relationships will be a powerful asset to growing our business partnerships.”
Wheeler brings over 20 years of banking experience to North Shore Bank, with the majority of that time with BMO Harris Bank as a Business Banker. His leadership experience extends into his community, working with the Riverworks Business Improvement District and Broadscope Disability Services, in addition to serving as a mentor to young banking professionals.
Schommer graduated from Carroll University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and a minor in finance. He gained direct client relations experience as a loan partner intern for Waterstone Mortgage Corporation and in his most recent role as a sales professional at Globe Life Family Heritage. Schommer’s community involvement includes mentoring new college students and serving as Habitat for Humanity treasurer.
Wheeler and Schommer reside in the greater Milwaukee area and will serve customers out of the bank’s corporate office at 15700 W Bluemound Rd.
