May 11 Milwaukee, WI – Stand Eat Drink is announcing Ryan DeRosa as the new Beverage Director for the hospitality team. It is an exciting move for SED. After starting out with Great Lakes Distillery Ryan helped open up The Cheel in Thiensville and became bar manager until joining Stand Eat Drink in September of 2016. Ryan helped open and manage the Hotel Madrid bar program right away in November of 2016. Soon after joining he had stepped into the Assistant Beverage Director role, playing a large hand in creating the unique and innovative cocktails seen at Movida as well as Hotel Madrid. Ryan looks to build on the foundation that SED has for amazing cocktails and continue to push not just guests, but the city of Milwaukee into new beverage concepts that will challenge and certainly delight all who consume. He also brings lighthearted & fun attitude to the team while being serious and focused on his craft. That’s how he’s earned a standing reputation for being able to throw snowballs into linen bags from 60 feet away. Ryan embraces the role, “I’m beyond excited to step into this opportunity, and I want to keep the momentum of our cocktail programs going forward. We create cocktails in an environment that is enjoyable and inclusive. It’s about making guests feel comfortable and the drinks approachable. I’m here to create a good time for everyone.”
