Milwaukee Alderman Nik Kovac invites residents to share concerns and hear from local officials at a Neighborhood Town Hall meeting this evening (Tuesday, October 2).

Speakers include Alderman Kovac, Police Capt. Stephen Basting, Heidi Weed from the Department of Neighborhood Services and a representative from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The group is expected to discuss crime, disorder and safety issues facing Milwaukee’s entire East Side.

The event is being held in the auditorium at Riverside University High School, 1516 E. Locust St. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend in the hopes of maintaining an open dialogue, not just between UW-Milwaukee and residents in that area, but among all neighbors on the East Side.
