MPD Launches Operation Green Light in Partnership with Alderman Ashanti Hamilton and the Villard Avenue BID
MILWAUKEE, WI – On Friday, October 22, 2021, the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) launched Operation Green Light in partnership with Alderman Ashanti Hamilton, the Villard Avenue BID and members of the business community.
Currently, there are four cameras mounted on W. Villard Avenue from N. Teutonia Avenue to N. Hopkins Street. MPD is working with the Villard Avenue BID to add more cameras. All participating businesses must sign a Participant Agreement committing to being a good business partner.
MPD hopes to expand this program to other areas of the city and encourages those BIDS to reach out to us at mpdnews@milwaukee.gov for more information.
