HOLLANDALE, Wis. — Pecatonica Area School District Superintendent and candidate for Wisconsin State Superintendent Jill Underly announced today she has received the endorsement of LIUNA Wisconsin Laborers District Council and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Wisconsin State Council.

“Jill Underly’s experience across the state of Wisconsin as an educator, DPI leader, and now as an administrator during this pandemic makes her the most qualified candidate in this race,” said John Schmitt, President/Business Manager of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council. “Jill shares our values and is ready to get to work on day one to provide a high-quality education to every child, every day.”

“Dr. Underly will advocate every day for what is best for all Wisconsin children, no matter their zip code. She is committed to proactively addressing the issues our membership cares about, like closing opportunity gaps and recruiting and retaining passionate teachers in our classroom,” said Brenda Frary, SEIU WI State Council President. “We are endorsing Jill because she has the experience and clear vision to make a real difference in Wisconsin’s education system.”
