MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) announced that Lue Hang has been named MPM’s new Vice President of Finance and Operations. In his new role, Hang, who previously served as President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Lutheran Home and Harwood Place, will lead the Museum’s finance and operations team.

“Lue’s expertise in financial operations, budget analytics and strategic planning will be a great asset to the museum,” said Dr. Ellen Censky, President and CEO of the Milwaukee Public Museum. “This has been a year of both change and progress for the museum, and adding Lue to our team will help ensure that we continue to make pragmatic decisions toward that continued momentum.”

As VP of Finance and Operations, Hang’s focus will be on overseeing, directing, and organizing the work of the Museum’s finance and operations teams. Hang will be responsible for the development of MPM’s financial management strategy and will contribute to the development of the Museum’s strategic goals, including efforts towards building a 21st century museum for the state of Wisconsin.

“I am honored to be joining the Milwaukee Public Museum as Vice President of Finance and Operations,” said Hang. “MPM is a beloved institution in our Milwaukee community, and I look forward to working with the rest of the Museum team as we endeavor to support a thriving institution  and look ahead to the future.”

Hang received his bachelor’s and masters’ degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is currently working toward a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from Northwestern University in Chicago. Prior to joining Lutheran Home and Harwood Place in 2017 as Vice President of Finance and CFO, he served as Controller at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
